Jocelyn Bell Burnell is a visiting professor at the University of Oxford, UK. In a career spanning over four decades, she has made outstanding contributions to astronomy and the public understanding of science. She advances the role of women in science and promotes the study of physics.

As part of the CERN Diversity Programme, Bell Burnell recently spoke in the Globe of Science and Innovation at CERN on the topic of "Women in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM)".
