Today, 23 April, events are taking place around the world as part of the “International Girls in ICT Day”. The events encourage girls and young women to see and to experience information and communications technologies (ICTs) in a new light, and to consider a future in technology. The initiative is organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and, at the ITU offices in Geneva, female ICT specialists from CERN are joining 120 schoolgirls aged 13 to 16 years from five schools in the region for a series of workshops.
