The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) together with CERN are holding the 13th Industrial Exhibition, Germany at CERN. 37 German companies will showcase their latest products and services for the scientists, engineers, technicians and buyers of CERN. This will be an opportunity for them to make connections and establish leads for future contracts.
On 10 October 2017 Dr. Karl Eugen Huthmacher, Director-General for the BMBF's Provision for the Future – Basic and Sustainability Research, and CERN Director General Dr. Fabiola Gianotti will inaugurate the exhibition. Afterwards, there will be a tour of the exhibition space.
Meetings between company representatives and CERN employees may take place at the booths themselves, though additional space is available in the annex of Restaurant 1 and the conference rooms B, C and D next to the Board Room of the Main Building. During the evening reception at the Globe, exhibitors and CERN employees have ample opportunity for exchange.
For CERN staff who wish to learn more about how to get in touch with the exhibitors additional information regarding the programme, the participants, and their profiles is available at their respective department’s front desk. In the forefield, CERN experts will be contacted by firms to arrange discussion at the booths.
The catalogue of exhibitors including their profiles will be made available prior to the start of the event.
The event will take place on Tuesday 10 October 2017 from 11 am to 5.30 pm and Wednesday 11 October 2017 from 9 am to 5 pm.
