The CERN Safety Rule listed below has been published on the CERN website dedicated to the Safety Rules :

• General Safety Instruction GSI-SH-1 (revised version)

This General Safety Instruction (GSI) defines the safety requirements for all types of visits on the CERN site.

The new version of the GSI implements lessons learnt and reflects evolutions of the regulatory and organisational context. The rule now permits visits by pregnant women to some regulated areas, subject to a risk assessment.  It also aligns the visits rule with recently published Safety Rules regarding protection from non-ionising radiation, including from electromagnetic fields.
