Mental health is a critical issue. According to a study conducted in 29 countries, one in every two people will experience a mental health disorder by the age of 75. The risks are even higher in the fields of science and academia, with above-average levels of stress, anxiety and burn-out.

At CERN, where the work can be highly demanding, finding a balance between performance and well-being is essential. Building resilience, learning to manage stress and caring for your brain are the keys to sustainable performance.

On 9 October, a lunchtime talk entitled “A healthy mind for a calmer future” is being organised as part of the Mental Health campaign, with a panel of health and neuroscience experts. Come and learn about practical strategies for boosting your mental equilibrium and building a calmer future for yourself.
