For three weeks from 7 July 2025, the route de Meyrin cut-and-cover tunnel in the Geneva-France direction is closed from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Traffic in the Geneva-France direction is diverted via avenue de Mategnin or rue Lect. From early August to 18 August 2025, the tram line 18 will be interrupted between Bois-du-Lan and Meyrin CERN stops in both directions. Replacement buses will operate. Buses serving the Hôpital de la Tour stop will not be affected.
These works, carried out by the canton of Geneva, will enable the route du Nant-d'Avril to be upgraded for the arrival of the Geneva - Vernier - ZIMEYSAVER Bus à Haut Niveau de Service / fast bus (BHNS-GVZ) by 2027.
