The new Operational Circular No. 12, entitled “Principles and procedures governing internal investigations” and the new Administrative Circular No. 34, entitled “Rules of procedure for the Joint Advisory Appeals Board (JAAB) and the Joint Advisory Disciplinary Board (JADB)” have been approved by the Director-General and are available at the following links:
The two circulars entered into force on 1 August 2026 as part of the implementation of the reform of CERN’s internal justice system. They implement the amendments to Chapter VI of the Staff Rules and Regulations by setting out the detailed rules governing the operation of the new system.
