Status of the MAX IV Accelerators


The MAX IV facility in Lund, Sweden, consists of three electron accelerators and their respective synchrotron radiation beamlines. Two electron storage rings operate at different energies (1.5 GeV and 3 GeV) in order to cover a wide photon energy range, whereas a linear accelerator acts as a full-energy injector into both rings and provides electron pulses as short as 100 fs. In this talk, I will focus on the 3 GeV storage ring – the first ultralow emittance storage ring based on the multibend achromat lattice - and review the latest achieved performance and operational results.
