The CERN CampusApp has been providing essential information to the community since 2023, including emergency alerts for safety and security, the CERN phonebook, map, menus and more.

The Site and Civil Engineering (SCE) department are now piloting a new notification functionality in the app and would like your feedback.

From 16 October 2025, everyone with the CERN CampusApp installed on their phone will be able to see “Campus Flash” notifications. These are short announcements about on-campus activities and services, new offerings or special offers, reminders, disruptions and useful new information.

This pilot, which will run until the end of 2025, focuses on Campus Flash messages for on-site members of the CERN community. It is being used to assess how CampusApp notifications might evolve and could potentially be used to streamline and enhance wider campus-related news and announcements in the future.

You can either see the notifications within the app, or our recommendation is to allow push notifications via the settings of your phone.
