“Twilight burglary” prevention campaign

The Swiss authorities warn of high risks of burglary at this time of year. Risks can be considerably reduced by taking simple preventive measures:

• Simulate your presence by using a light on a timer, for example
• Keep valuables out of sight and systematically lock doors and windows
• Inform your neighbours if you are going to be away for a long time and have your letterbox checked
• If you notice any suspicious behaviour, including that of your neighbours, call 117 immediately (in France, call 17)
