As we navigate the exceptional access conditions for the G7 Summit (12–18 June), remember that road safety is a shared responsibility – whether you’re driving, cycling, or walking. With increased traffic, border controls, and potential diversions, your vigilance is more important than ever.

Key reminders:

  • All road users: stay alert, respect others, and follow signs (speed limits, priority rules, reverse parking).
  • Cyclists: wear a helmet and use the dedicated cycle/pedestrian gates at site entrances. NOTE: Bicycles and motorbikes are prohibited in the intersite tunnel (open 05:30–22:00 for motorised vehicles only).
  • Drivers: avoid distractions, adapt to conditions, and never use phones while moving. Be extra cautious at crossings and blind spots.
  • Everyone: Report incidents or near-misses within 24 hours via the Incident Declaration Form.

Let’s all do our part to keep CERN’s community safe during this challenging G7 period. Your attention and care make a difference. Thank you for prioritising safety for yourself and others.

Safety first. Safety always.
