A robot is tested with a view to enhancing security on CERN’s sites
Since 22 July 2026, CERN’s Security Service has been testing an autonomous robot designed to reinforce security monitoring on the Meyrin and Prévessin sites. The two-wheeled mobile robot is equipped with 360° cameras, a thermal imaging camera and acoustic sensors. It travels at speeds of up to 5 km/h and can operate for about eight hours

Works at Gate B: closures and access changes on the CERN Meyrin site from August 2026
Works at Gate B will result in several periods of full and partial closure between August 2026 and March 2027. Traffic diversions and adjusted opening hours at other entrances to the Meyrin site will be introduced to ensure uninterrupted access to the site throughout the works. The works will be carried out in several phases.

Crédit Agricole at the Prévessin site closed until September
The Crédit Agricole branch located at the Prévessin site has been closed since March and will remain closed until early September 2026. During this period, the ATM remains operational. Customers can also use nearby branches, including those in Prévessin, Saint‑Genis‑Pouilly, Ferney‑Voltaire and Gex. Users are encouraged to consult service opening hours on the Campus App.
