CineGlobe 2026 – Film et discussion de clôture : « Une vie illuminée »
Venez découvrir « Une vie illuminée », l’histoire de Dr Edie Widder, biologiste qui cherche à dévoiler la bioluminescence, phénomène qui permet aux formes de vie de communiquer dans l’obscurité des profondeurs océaniques.
Cette chercheuse a transformé nos connaissances sur les abysses : autrefois perçus comme des espaces vides, sombres et déserts, ceux-ci se révèlent comme étant des mondes pleins de vie et de lumière.
Aujourd’hui, Dr Widder se lance dans une expédition audacieuse : une descente à un kilomètre sous la surface de l’océan en quête de découvertes. Mêlant images cinématographiques issues de l’exploration à des archives inédites, le film retrace la mission de Dr Widder pour révéler la beauté profonde de la bioluminescence, tout en soulignant l’urgence de protéger les écosystèmes fragiles des grands fonds marins.
Projection suivie d’une discussion « Vers un avenir conscient des océans » pour mieux apprécier le monde sous-marin invisible qui nous entoure. (Discussion en anglais.)

Come and enjoy “A life illuminated”, the story of biologist Dr. Edie Widder who seeks to unveil bioluminescence, a phenomenon that allows life to communicate in the darkness of the ocean’s depths.

Through her research, Dr Widder has transformed our understanding of the deepest parts of the sea: once perceived as a dark, empty voids, these places are now known to be worlds full of life and light.
Now, Dr Widder embarks on a daring expedition: a descent down one kilometre beneath the ocean’s surface in a quest for discovery. Blending cinematic footage from her journey with never-before-seen archives, the film captures Edie’s mission to reveal the profound beauty of bioluminescence, while emphasising the urgent need to protect the fragile ecosystems of the deep sea.
Followed by a discussion “Transitioning to an Ocean-Conscious Future” to appreciate the unseen underwater world around us.
