Humanitarian Designers Meetup Lab

Humanitarian Designers (HD) is dedicated to building bridges between aid workers and designers. We are a community of leaners, practitioners and allies. Our mission is to raise awareness and educate, creating a space for collaboration and shared knowledge.

What is the reason for this event?

This online community allows people around the world to connect with peers. However, past projects showed us how much in-person interactions have a unique and meaningful value. Therefore, we want to create an opportunity for aid workers and designers to gather in person.

We will meet on September 23-25, at Ideasquare in Geneva for a 3 day creative lab. We provide the space, the frame, and the accommodation, you come with your experiences, ideas, and challenges.

Everyone is invited to take part, whether you're an experienced humanitarian designer, an interested aid worker, a design practitioner or a motivated student. However, due to capacity, the event is limited to 30 participants. We will need to carefully review all registrations to ensure a balanced and diverse group and prepare the event accordingly.
For participants not living in Geneva, we will cover their stay at the CERN Hostel for the 23-25. Participants will have to pay for their travel.
