Art Meets Science: Michael Hoch's Exhibition Opening

Join us on Thursday, 12 June 2025, at 16:30 in the library exhibition area (52/1-203) for the vernissage of a unique art installation by physicist and artist Michael Hoch. This event marks the launch of a rotating exhibition curated by Michael, who will regularly update the display with new visuals that blend scientific insight and artistic interpretation. The first installation invites you to experience the intersection of high-energy physics and contemporary art, transforming the everyday corridor into a space of inspiration and dialogue.

Michael Hoch, is an Austrian physicist and visual artist known for his interdisciplinary work connecting science and art. With a Ph.D. in particle physics from CERN, he is a key member of the CMS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. In 2012, he founded the art@CMS initiative, which brings together artists and scientists to create new narratives around scientific discovery. His artwork has been exhibited around the world and is aimed at making the invisible beauty of science visible to broader audiences.

The vernissage will be accompanied by an aperitif in 52/1-052.
