The ISOTDAQ 2016 is the seventh of a series of International Schools dedicated to introduce MSc and PhD students to the "arts and crafts" of triggering and acquiring data for physics experiments. The main aim of the school is to provide an overview of the basic instruments and methodologies used in high energy physics, spanning from small experiments in the lab to the very large LHC experiments, emphasizing the main building blocks as well as the different choices and architectures at different levels of complexity. About half of the school time will be dedicated to laboratory exercises where the students are exposed to most of the techniques described in the lectures.
Since places are limited, acceptance to the school is by a selection committee. Apply here. Deadline for applications: 31 October 2015
The 7th International School of Trigger and Data Acquisition will be held in the Lopatie Conference Center on the campus of the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel. Lectures, the hands on exercises, breakfast, lunch and coffee breaks will be held in the Center. Accommodation is within walking distance at the Reisfeld Residence of the Hebrew University Faculty of Agriculture and the San Martin Guest House on the Weizmann campus.
