CERN community can now access Overleaf and ShareLaTeX

Two new authoring and publishing tools are now available to members of CERN community

CERN Authoring is excited to announce that all members of CERN personnel now enjoy full access to the services offered by Overleaf and ShareLaTeX.

Both platforms focus on scientific collaborative authoring, and over the coming months, they will merge into a single service.

Overleaf is an online LaTeX and Rich Text collaborative editor and publishing tool and ShareLaTeX is an online LaTeX collaborative editor and reviewing tool. Their rich feature set includes: pure LaTeX editor, rich text editor (Overleaf only), real-time collaboration, real-time PDF preview, author comments, track changes (ShareLaTeX only), version control (w/ Git access) and export as PDF and LaTeX.

You can set up your CERN account through these links for Overleaf and ShareLaTeX, and register using your CERN e-mail address.

If you are already registered, you can be added to the CERN site licences: by visiting here for Overleaf and choosing the “Add an e-mail at European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN)” option; or by logging in to ShareLaTeX and visiting this page.

Get in touch with CERN Authoring by e-mail or through the CERN Service Portal for more information.
