______________
Selected in 2022 from over 22 500 applicants to be one of the 11 members of the European Space Agency (ESA) 2022 astronaut class in the reserve pool, Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski, former CERN engineer, will soon go to space.
Sławosz and his colleagues from the Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4) crew will take off from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida aboard a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft. Dragon and the crew will dock the day after with the International Space Station (ISS), where they'll be spending up to 14 days.
Watch the live webcast of the launch here: axiom.space/live. We also plan to show the live broadcast on the screens installed in CERN's restaurants and cafés.
