CERN engineer to go to space on Tuesday – don’t miss the launch!

Former CERN engineer Sławosz Uznański, now an ESA astronaut, will take off aboard a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center on Tuesday 10 June 2025

Selected in 2022 from over 22 500 applicants to be one of the 11 members of the European Space Agency (ESA) 2022 astronaut class in the reserve pool, Sławosz Uznański, former CERN engineer, will go to space next Tuesday.

Sławosz and his colleagues from the Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4) crew will take off on 10 June 2025 at 2:22 pm CEST* from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida aboard a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft. Dragon and the crew will dock the day after with the International Space Station (ISS), where they'll be spending up to 14 days.

Watch the live webcast of the launch here (from 12:15 am CEST): axiom.space/live. We also plan to show the live broadcast on the screens installed in CERN's restaurants and cafés.
