Collide @ CERN Creative Collisions between the Arts and Science presents: International Artist Workshop: ALE DE LA PUENTE

A workshop to investigate and discover the creation of metaphors devoted to time, scale and space in both art and science. All that is needed form the participants is an open mind, willingness to play and discover, to share ideas and to explore the connections between the arts and science.

Wednesday 11 September: TIME 1pm-2pm, Restaurant 1.

Time is differently employed in art and science professional processes, we must work with it as matter, without haste.

Thursday 12 September: SCALE 12pm-1pm, Restaurant 1.

Scale should be used as a verb, as an adverb, as a conjunction, as an indefinite or definite article, even as a preposition. Or is it something more?

Friday 13 September: SPACE 9.30am-10.30am, Restaurant 1.

Space is a language,  a system for the expression of thoughts, feelings, etc, by the use of conventional symbols which will define the media in which we are working.

There are only six places per workshop. Numbers are restricted, so it is essential people sign up, specifying which workshop they wish to come to Collide.Events@cern.ch

Ale will also be giving a lecture about her work in the CERN library on Wednesday 11 September at 4pm.
